My recovered file is corrupted and will not open. What can I do?
Probably the deleted file has been partially overwritten before recovery. Or your deleted data was fragmented and crosslinking on the disk.

There are a number of techniques that may open the file or allow you partial access to the content of the file.

For the Microsoft Word document, you may try some third-party Word file repair tool e.g. DocRepair.

For the Excel spreadsheet file, you may try to open it under Microsoft Excel XP or 2003, and it has better compatibilities accepting corrupted Excel file. Or you may be able to open and view the file using tools from OpenOffice.

For the image file, you may try to view it in different image viewers (e.g. IrfanView, ACDSee).
